Python Developer

Strategic Staffing Solutions client is a pre-employment background and drug screening organization, providing services in all 50 states and over 200 countries and territories worldwide. Our background screening services include criminal records, driving records, credit reports, social security traces, e-Verify and I-9 verification, employment verification, education verification, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, regulatory compliance searches and more.

Right now they are growing team in Vilnius and is looking for a Software Engineer (Python) to join team to innovate cutting-edge, customer-facing applications. This position is ideal for individuals with excellent problem-solving skills, have a strong passion for software development and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the communities company serves.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Enhance our current web-based platform and innovate new greenfield products using Python and MySQL on AWS using micro-services, serverless and other relevant architecture.
• Build AI solutions to solve business problems using OpenAI. No prior experience is required but should be interested in learning.
• Build unit tests and develop high-quality and maintainable software.
• Adhere to best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Participate in the design and implementation of software solutions, following best practices and coding standards.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends to suggest innovative solutions.
• Document software design, development processes, and code to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and product owners.
• Work closely with experienced developers, software architects, and project managers to create high-quality solutions.

Experience needed:

• 3-5 years of experience in web application development.
• 3+ years of experience in Python.
• 3+ years of experience in back-end development.
• 1+ years of experience in front-end development.
• Experience with async frameworks, like Aiohttp or FastAPI.
• Expertise in backend programming including database programming and Rest API programming.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Expertise in MySQL or other database programming.
• Experience with any Git based source control.
• Familiarity with agile/scrum processes.

Nice to have experience:

• Experience in Jenkins or other CI/CD pipeline tools is a plus.
• Experience in Cloud such as AWS is a plus.
• Experience with OpenAI is a huge plus.
• Experience in writing Python scripts using various open-source AI/ML libraries is a plus.
• Experience in building a MLflow for AI model workflow management and deployment, coupled with a feature store like Feast is a plus.

Salary: from 4000 EUR gross

Important notes:

This role is only for residents of Lithuania or people having the Blue Card or its equivalent.

The office is in Vilnius, Lithuania and you will be employed with a Lithuanian-based legal entity.
