Senior Java Developer (Remote - Portugal)

DBServices helps to design, develop and support digital platforms for large and mid-sized companies in ITC, Banking, Retail, Government, Health, and other industries in Europe and Americas.

Tasks

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java, JEE, and related technologies.
  • Work with relational databases to build scalable and efficient data-driven solutions.
  • Utilize frameworks and tools such as JPA, Hibernate, and the Spring Framework to deliver high-quality software.
  • Build and manage application dependencies using Maven, Gradle, and Ant.Develop and optimize user interfaces with HTML5, CSS, and jQuery.
  • Use tools like GIT, JIRA, Jenkins, and Confluence to ensure smooth collaboration and project tracking.
  • Implement containerized applications using Docker and manage orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Apply Cloud Native principles in solution architecture and implementation.
  • Actively participate in Agile development processes to deliver high-performing software solutions.


Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and their integration with Java applications.
  • Experience with JEE, JPA, Hibernate, Spring Framework, and ORM tools.
  • Proficiency with build tools like Maven, Gradle, and Ant.Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS, and jQuery.
  • Familiarity with tools such as GIT, JIRA, Jenkins, and Confluence.
  • Practical experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Native principles and technologies.
  • Experience working in Agile development teams.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Must be located in Portugal for remote work eligibility.
