Position: Senior HR Specialist

Location: Headquarters, Lugano

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Specialist to join our dynamic team at our headquarters in Lugano. This role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and strong communication skills to manage daily interactions with personnel both locally and internationally, as well as to liaise with our legal, tax and payroll consultants worldwide.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing payroll processing for all employees
  • Managing social insurance matters (AVS, AI, IPG, LPP, IF control, salary certificates, IPG maternity/military, AF, sick leave and injury)
  • Preparing annual accounts for AVS, tax at source, handling LAINF or any other insurance annually offer, administration and reporting
  • Managing private health cover and offer for our non-EU foreign branches
  • Managing requests and renewals of permits, including third-country nationals and visa requests for foreign offices in collaboration with external consultants
  • Drafting employment contracts and work certificates
  • Overseeing internship management and related processes
  • Implementing changes in Labour laws
  • Managing personnel in both EU and non-EU foreign branches, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Ensuring compliance with international legal and tax regulations
  • Conducting personnel searches, managing the hiring process and onboarding new employees, such as all practices of employees’ separation

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in Switzerland, preferably within a medium or large-sized company
  • Full autonomy in handling all payroll-related duties
  • Fluency in English and Italian (additional languages are a plus)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Swiss Labour regulations and international employment laws
  • HR Specialist certification is desirable, HR Assistant certification is a must
  • Strong communication and synthesis skills
  • Problem analysis and resolution abilities
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Autonomy in managing accounting practices related to personnel
  • Experience in an international context, including managing personnel across multiple countries (EU and non-EU)
