NextJS Front-End Tech Lead

Akindra Talents (member of the Belgian Brainbridge Group) is a Romania-based IT workforce company providing flexible (IT) Staffing solutions and support to global customers. At Akindra Talents (based in the heart of Transylvania - Romania) we focus on connecting talents to our customers all over Europe. We build and manage remote (operational) support and development teams and offer support to our (freelance) collaborators during their journey.

The client is a minority veteran, woman, owned small business. They have over 10 years of experience in specialized accounting, finance, human resources, IT/ Engineering, government contracting, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of front-end developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance web applications using NextJs and React.
• Implement server-side rendering (SSR) to enhance application performance and SEO.
• Design & Develop responsive, mobile-first applications that combine CSR, SSR, ISR & SSG

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience in front-end development and commerce implementations.
• Extensive experience with NextJs, PWA, and server-side rendering (SSR).
• Proficiency in React and its ecosystem.
• Experience using NextJs Middleware, Routing
• Strong understanding of web development principles, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience implementing design systems and component libraries such as MaterialUI or Mantine
• Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or React Query.
• Experience with TypeScript for robust and scalable code.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and tools like Playwright
• Experience with CSS-in-JS libraries such as Emotion.
• Proficiency with build tools and task runners like Webpack and Vite.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including ESLint, TSLint, Husky, and lint-staged.
• Familiarity with internationalization (i18) and markdown processing
• Knowledge of API integration and data fetching using Axios.
• Experience with logging libraries like Pino.

• B2B collaboration with an initial 3-month contract (with the possibility of extension)
