Senior VFX Artist

Your mission

We are Vertigo Games, developers and publishers of top-end VR titles like Metro Awakening, Arizona Sunshine, After the Fall and The 7th Guest. Our Amsterdam studio has started development of our next VR game, following Metro Awakening, and we are looking to recruit a Senior VFX Artist who can aid us in our mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high quality VFX in a range of techniques and styles.
• Research and implement new, innovative VFX techniques.
• Monitoring VFX impact on performance and adjusting accordingly.
• Collaborate with the Lead Artist, Art Director and other disciplines, communication and collaboration on VFX is driven by you.
  
  

Your profile

• Experience as a VFX Artist typically gained over 4+ years and showcasing real-time VFX work through a reel/portfolio.
• Good artistic insight and feeling for timing and animation.
• Being able to create all the required art for your VFX.
• Working ability with Unreal Engine's Niagara System.
• Good knowledge of Unreal Engine e.g. materials, blueprint, etc.
• Knowledge of special effects software (e.g. Embergen, Houdini, Blender).
• Self-motivated team-player that is able to receive and provide objective feedback.
  
  

Bonus points for

• Understanding of HLSL shader language.
• Working ability with Niagara’s scratch pad.
• Mobile / VR experience.
