DevOps Engineer

DiPocket Group is a European Embedded Financial Services provider, complementary to and independent from banks, offering payment and technology infrastructure to corporates, fintech and even smaller credit institutions. Use cases include, amongst others, solutions for funds disbursement, corporate purchases, employee benefits, gift cards, which DiPocket is able to offer both in the EEA and the UK. We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to enhance our infrastructure and streamline our operations to support business needs.

What would you do?

• Draft, development and implement DevOps strategies, its processes according to market best practices.
• Create, Manage and maintain build and deployment pipelines.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation, testing, and deployment.
• Implement monitoring of the DevOps infrastructure and optimize the performance.
• Implement new test and live environments.
• Execute security by design approach towards all implementations.
• Support all development teams to integrate their applications into the production environment.
• Technical collaboration with internal and external technical teams.
• Suggest and influence new technology choices.
• Support system troubleshooting and problem-solving across platform and application domains.

What would we expect from you?

• Overall 4+ years of experience within an information technology environment.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows systems.
• Experience with infrastructure as a code (IaaC). Preferably Terraform for IaaC development or any other equivalent.
• Best practices on developing CI/CD and understanding of configuration management, version management.
• Professional application knowledge: Jenkins, Grafana, JIRA, Git/Bitbucket or Gitlab, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and Kibana, Argo CD, Nginx/HAProxy.
• Kubernetes containerization and orchestration expertise in practice and theory. Ideally with use of Rancher.
• Fluent in verbal and written English.
• You must be a team player that can work without supervision.

What would be nice to have?

• Python scripting will be an additional asset.
• Database administration knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• VMWare knowledge will be an additional asset.
