AI/ML Researcher (Food Commodities)

We are partnering an established organisation in the commodities industry, to identify an AI/ML Researcher. The incumbent will be heavily involved in data analytics and machine learning. Focusing on project deliverables to model data using ML or AI for bio-product developments to obtain business objectives. You will be crucial to key business decisions.

Responsibilities

Reporting to a R&D Lead, this role involves managing and preprocessing data, coding scripts, and performing statistical analysis and machine learning tasks, including optimization, supervised and unsupervised learning, and deep learning. The incumbent will summarize results, participate in research meetings, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners.

Requirements

You are degree qualified with at least 2 years of experience in a research and development environment. You will have strong experience in Computer Vision, NLP, LLM, GenAI and Analytics. Proficiency in R, Python, Java, and Bash is required, along with experience in image processing, recognition, and AI frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch. Strong skills in optimizing ML models and applying new computational techniques are essential.
