About The Team

Red Vest – Supplychain team is part of the Supplychain technology team primarily tasked to modernize and build the next generation Warehouse Management System(WMS). This team is tasked to build an optimized WMS system in includes mobile and web interfaces and also includes complex back end engine to run the warehouse. This team strives to build the next gen WMS that help to improve the efficiency and productivity in the warehouse that helping Lowe’s to move more products and help customers.

Primary Skills

• Experience with developing and supporting Android SDKs
• Application design and related architecture artifacts must accommodate large scale mobile applications that will concurrently support Mobile platforms
• Design and architect backend mobile services to interface with server-side API’s and services (SOA, microservices, REST)
• Designed and implemented Backend-For-Frontend architecture(BFF) patterns.
• Technology Stack :
• Android Studio
• Jenkins or similar CI/CD
• Kotlin (preferred) or Java
• Java, Springboot, Rest Services
• Firebase Analytics, Adobe Analytics, similar tech / business analytics
• Familiar with Git, including Git submodules
• Bitbucket / Github
• Familiar with Jira or other feature tracking system
  
  

Secondary Skills

• Design, build, test, and deploy high-performing, secure, cloud-based APIs and multi-tenant service-oriented and microservices based architectures.
• Previous experience developing mobile applications for a Retail Industry
  
  

Job Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to translate business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs and to deliver code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions. This includes developing, configuring, or modifying complex integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments. This role facilitates the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer , you will posses deep technical acumen in modern software design and development framework and methodologies. You will demonstrate expertise around open systems tech stack. You will be assigned to an engineering team that develops and maintains the next generation software products for Lowe’s.

• You will collaborate with product stake holders to build secure, reliable and scalable software solutions
• You will design and develop high quality software components that are highly scalable, highly available and extensible.
• You will help to maintain a high standard in coding and testing through effective code review and leveraging the automated code scanning tools
• You will focus on test automation and in-sprint automation by building automation test frameworks
• You will maintain the SLA/SLOs for product and triage high priority issues and outages as they arise
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in software development or a related field
• 4 years of experience in any of following competencies: frontend technologies (user interface/user experience), middleware (microservices and application programming interfaces), database technologies, or DevOps
• 4 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC) through iterative agile development
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 4 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software environment, developing and implementing business systems within an organization, and working with source code control systems
• 4 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, defect or incident tracking software, web services, and application and integration middleware
• 4 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions
• 4 years of experience working with three or more of the following: Continuous integration/continuous deployment tools, frontend technologies, middleware, database technologies, and/or DevOps
• Master's degree in computer science, CIS, or related field
