Cyber Security Operations Analyst

Elysium Digital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Operations Analyst to join our client's team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding critical systems by:

• Monitoring security alerts and incidents
• Analysing potential threats and vulnerabilities
• Responding promptly to security breaches
• Engaging in special projects to uplift Essential 8 security strategies

Your efforts will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of essential information systems.

About the role:

• Monitor and triage security incidents reported through various channels.
• Investigate and escalate incidents as necessary.
• Regularly review and manage the client mail quarantine list identifying and addressing any potential threats.
• Vulnerability Scanning including threat management and escalation
• Download and analyse Azure Active Directory sign-in logs
• Perform security checks using the Rapid7 tools investigate any identified vulnerabilities or risks.
• Investigate security-related service requests submitted by users in ServiceNow
• Review and investigate Aurion audit logs
• Analyse DNS Splunk reports

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
• Experience with security incident response and threat detection.
• Proficiency in Splunk, Azure, and Rapid7.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Previous Government experience highly regarded.
