Senior Frontend Developer

About the Role

Spencer Recruitment is working with a scaling Irish SaaS company that has built an innovative financial control and analytics platform. Their solution integrates with leading brands in the Retail and Food & Beverage sectors, helping businesses automate financial processes and gain deep insights into key metrics that drive their operations.

As part of their next phase of growth, they are undertaking a major front-end modernisation project. They are seeking a talented Senior Frontend Developer to lead the transformation of their platform into a best-in-class user experience powered by React. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the front-end architecture of a high-impact SaaS product.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a modern single-page application (SPA) using React, leveraging the existing multi-page application as a back-end for front-end (BFF) API.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver new features that enhance the user experience.
• Build reusable, scalable, and well-documented components.
• Optimise performance across various web browsers and implement testing strategies.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, ensuring the technology stack remains modern and efficient.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.

Requirements

• Full-time, permanent work eligibility in Ireland or the UK.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React and React Hooks.
• Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or Zustand.
• 2+ years of experience with TypeScript.
• 4+ years working with Git, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience in writing and maintaining unit, feature, and regression tests.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker/containers for local development.
• Knowledge of PHP or other back-end languages.
• Experience in mentoring or leading other developers.
• Project planning experience.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and API exploration tools.
• Experience in data visualisation and/or complex tabular data presentation.
• Experience deploying front-end applications in the AWS ecosystem.
• Advanced experience with Vite or other bundlers.

Salary & Application Process

• Salary: €70,000 - €80,000 (or UK equivalent), depending on experience and performance.
