Senior Project Manager – Fintech Financial Systems

• Location: Amsterdam
• Hybrid: 2 days a week in the office / 3 days at home
• Type: 9-month contract (possible extensions)
• Rate: €90 per hour

About the Role:

Are you a seasoned project manager with a passion for driving large-scale initiatives in the fintech industry? Do you have experience managing complex, cross-functional projects and working closely with stakeholders across different levels and locations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

As a Senior Project Manager within our Fintech Financial Systems team, you will play a key role in overseeing the governance and delivery of impactful projects, ensuring alignment between business units, centralized functions, and external vendors. Your primary responsibility will be to lead projects from scoping and planning through to successful delivery, while managing risks, dependencies, and project milestones.

You will collaborate with teams across multiple functions, helping to document goals, KPIs, roadmaps, and main deliverables, ensuring projects are managed efficiently and meet business needs. Your leadership will drive continuous progress towards shared objectives, and you will be responsible for tracking and reporting project progress while ensuring smooth handovers to business as usual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex, low to medium complexity projects with global impact.
• Partner with business units, corporate support teams, and external vendors to ensure projects are scoped, planned, and executed effectively.
• Develop and communicate project goals, KPIs, and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategies.
• Apply structured methodologies to lead project and change management activities.
• Mitigate project risks and resolve dependencies, providing alternative solutions when necessary.
• Influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders and external partners.
• Track, report, and communicate project progress, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.
• Ensure smooth project closing and a proper handover to Business as Usual (BAU) operations.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Strong project management experience
• Experience managing multiple projects across different locations and time zones.
• Strong familiarity with enterprise applications like ERP (SAP) and integration platforms like Mulesoft.
• Proven experience working closely with product and tech delivery teams.
• Exposure to SAP Activate delivery methodology.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to apply structured project management methodologies and tools.
