Senior Data Scientist (Research and Product Development)

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, has a track record of impactful research publications, and excels in communicating technical insights to diverse audiences.

You will be part of the newly formed R&D Lab @ Capitole, where we are looking to bring true AI innovation into the DNA of the company.🚀

What You’ll Do 💪

• Conduct advanced research on AI topics to uncover novel methodologies that are impactful in many areas. This knowledge should be transformed into actionable insights that inform product development and strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into products.
• We are, at the core, an R&D department, so publishing research in high-impact journals, presenting findings at conferences and writing down reports is part of the equation. This also includes submitting preprints to noticeable archives.
• Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Partner with ML Engineers and other developers to deploy solutions and ensure their scalability and robustness.
• Develop the AI guts moonshot POCs following best practice standards.

What We’re Looking For: 🧩

• PhD in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven track record of research publications in top-tier journals or conferences.
• Being able to understand and potentially translate equations and pseudo-code found in research papers into code
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages, with experience in frameworks like TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Llama-index, etc.
• Proficiency in data visualization and storytelling.
• Exceptional communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience working on product development teams or delivering data science solutions that have been successfully implemented.
• Fluent in Spanish and in English.
• You live in Barcelona or surroundings.
