Purpose of Role: As a talented and motivated Data Scientist within our Digital R&D team you analyze complex data sets, develop predictive models, and extract actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. You work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, design data-driven solutions, and communicate findings effectively, tailored to your audience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Model Development and Evaluation: Build, train, validate, and refine predictive models using ML and statistical methods, including hyperparameter tuning.
- Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies using statistical and visualization tools.
- Experimentation: Design and conduct rigorous experiments to test hypotheses and compare approaches.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related field
- Experience in building and optimizing supervised and unsupervised machine learning models
- Experience in applying Machine Learning to physical systems
- Familiarity with scripting languages (JavaScript, Node.js, Python. Etc.).
