⌛ 6-month initial contract

I have partnered with a leading financial institution in the UAE who are looking for a Solution Architect with experience in designing and using APIs, microservices, and integration solutions, to join them on an initial 6-month contract:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and production support for corporate banking solutions.
• Architect and integrate applications to create customized solutions for large corporate clients.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and provide permanent resolutions.
• Develop graphical reporting to monitor system health and performance.
• Collaborate with product owners to implement strategic enhancements and improve system resilience.
• Provide on-call support in a rotational schedule to ensure 24/7 system availability.

Functional Competencies:

• Strong understanding of corporate banking products and services.
• Knowledge of UAE banking regulations, Central Bank guidelines, Open Banking, and international banking standards.
• Experience in risk assessment, fraud detection, and mitigation strategies.
• Understanding of payment systems, transaction processing, and settlement mechanisms.
• Ability to analyze complex banking challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Familiarity with change management and code release best practices.
• Adaptability to the evolving banking landscape and emerging technologies.

Technical Competencies:

• Software development expertise in Java, .NET Core, and related frameworks.
• Strong hands-on experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Proficiency in cloud platforms and cloud architecture (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with API development, microservices architecture, and integration solutions.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, data privacy regulations, and security architecture.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation tools.
• Awareness of emerging fintech technologies such as blockchain, AI/ML, and digital wallets.
• Proficiency in architectural design tools (Visio, Draw.io).
