Key Accountabilities:
- Attends technical discussion meetings to gather the required information for the Technical Design Specification creation, ensuring that the product requirements are correctly covered in the provided solution.
- Provides peer review and support to the development team.
- Supports the definition of which IT products should be considered for the Approved Product List, based on cost-benefit analysis and research.
- Conducts formal presentations of technical solutions to product managers, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Develops pre-sales technical solution proposals.
- Develops post-sales High-Level design documents and reviews these documents with peers.
- Defines interdependencies and identifies dependencies at various stages of design deployment.
- Guides the technical implementation team on the approach and technical functions during project deployment.
- Works with Implementation Engineering, Applications Services, and Customer representatives to create technical designs focused on their build and operability validity.
- Completes the Technical Design Specifications and Bill of Materials.
- Works alongside various Service Delivery resources to ensure a consistent quality approach.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with and updating the documentation frameworks to support Service Delivery.
- Accurately produces technical high-level designs and documentation.
- Defines and validates technical best practices for the technical engagement lifecycle.
- Conducts knowledge transfer sessions for deployment projects, technologies, and solutions.
- Leads technical workshops with customers, peers, and third-party vendors.
- Develops RFI/RFP documents for individual products and end-to-end solutions.
- Comprehends RFPs and develops cost-effective solutions in RFP responses.
- Supports Program and Project Management teams.
- Maintains knowledge and views on Technology Futures.
- Identifies high-potential team members and supports developing individual development plans.
- Provides mentoring and coaching to assigned high-potential team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related IT field
Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years’ broad based experience in Product Management, Project Management, and Team Management roles
Skills
- Technical Design and Architecture: Understanding of technical design principles, architecture patterns, and best practices in web and mobile application development.
- Project Management Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies, and experience in managing projects using these approaches.
- Software Development: Knowledge of software development processes, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends, such as Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, big data, cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform), and their applications in business environments.
- Cost-Benefit Analysis: Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis for technology solutions and make informed decisions based on business needs and technical feasibility.
- Technical Standards and Compliance: Understanding of industry standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in technical documentation and design.
- Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor teams, including managing onshore and offshore teams and collaborating with external vendors.
- Communication and Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills for effectively conveying technical solutions to product managers, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address technical challenges and find innovative solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Skill in managing relationships with various stakeholders, including sales, marketing, finance, and service delivery teams.
- Technical Writing: Proficiency in technical writing, including the creation of design documents, RFPs, and high-level technical documentation.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Ability to coach and mentor team members, fostering skill development and career growth.
- Negotiation and Conflict Resolution: Skills in negotiation and conflict resolution, particularly in complex project environments and when dealing with external vendors.
