Through personalized guidance, they help students navigate challenges, develop self-awareness, and build the skills needed to thrive in both school and life. Aligned with SRI’s pioneering vision, they integrate cutting-edge research, innovation, and industry partnerships to offer mentorship, internships, and networking opportunities, preparing older students for future success. Working closely with school leadership, teachers, and external experts, they ensure a seamless transition across educational phases, while also leading pastoral care initiatives, extra-curricular well-being programs, and continuous staff training to maintain a culture of holistic student support and excellence.

Skills

Person specifications:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in counselling, with a focus on working with young people and children in a school environment. A Master’s degree or equivalent qualification is preferred
• Have a minimum of four years’ counselling experience in an international school, covering all school stages (ages 3–18)
• Proven track record of enhancing counselling and well-being services for students
• Have a willingness to collaborate and share their outstanding practice
• Have a growth mindset, whereby they are reflective and solution focussed
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with colleagues, students and parents
• Have aspiration to work in a world-class school with real prospects for enhancing their career
• Be willing to make a positive contribution to our school community and culture through active engagement in our extra-curricular programme and community-based events
