System Administrator

Role Description:

The System Administrator will be responsible for system administration, troubleshooting, technical support, network administration, and information technology tasks. This role is based in Riga with some flexibility for a hybrid work model. Main responsibilities of the role will include:

· Linux and Windows server administration

· Centralizing IT Infrastructure Management (Windows)

· Monitoring and supporting IT infrastructure with a high level of server virtualization

· Develop and maintain the company's cloud infrastructure (MS Azure)

· Take an active part in the development of infrastructure solutions for the company's projects

· Configure hardware and OS to ensure low latency

· Hardware maintenance (troubleshooting, array monitoring and component replacement);

· Environment architecture and capacity planning;

· Technical documentation creation and improvement;

· Monitoring system performance to ensure continuous operation;

· Control the quality of deliverables by the third-party IT service providers;

· Provide technical support when requested, end-user support (second level).

Requirements:

· Work experience as system administrator role (mid/senior/lead position);

· Experience in UNIX system administration (bash, cron, iptables, services, automation etc.);

· Experience in virtualization environments (LXC, QEMU, Proxmox, VMware);

· Experience in server hardware and their components (HPE, QNAP, Palo Alto NGFW, MikroTik);

· Good knowledge about network administration, L2, L3 (routing and switching), ACLs;

· Good knowledge about IT security, disaster recovery and data loss prevention (Veeam, Proxmox Backup Server);

· Ability to analyze event logs of operation systems and software, troubleshooting;

· Understanding the basic principles of DevOps and Cloud solutions Azure, AWS experience.
