Network Automation Engineer

The product/ Team:

As a Network Automation Engineer you will be responsible for developing and testing new network service models for our IP transport network, as well as automating tests and supporting the processes in operations. In this context, you will be required to work with a variety of technologies, network protocols and hardware. By working in a team and liaising closely with several network and IT teams, you will contribute to the delivery of an optimal and efficient network.

As a part of the team you will: 

• Work on network service modelling using YANG, Python and vendor-specific configuration templates
• Build and deploy automation with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Create automated test cases using Robot framework

What we expect: 

• Strong IP networking knowledge (with certification minimum CCNA-level or equivalent)
• Solid programming and automation skills (Python, Git, CI/CD)
• Experience working on Linux OS and bash scripting
• Very good written and spoken English

Nice to have: 

• Familiarity with NETCONF/YANG, REST APIs, XML, XPATH 
• Experience with Docker and asynchronous messaging (e.g. Kafka) 
• Experience using development environments (e.g. VS Code) and testing frameworks (e.g. Robot)
