Associate Director/ Director – Sales & Account Management
Job Requirement
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager / Account Manager with 10+ years of experience in IT services and consulting sales within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector. This role requires an expert in business development, account management, and operations, The candidate will possess a deep understanding of the IT services and consulting landscape, with proven success in driving sales, building relationships, and managing operational processes for large-scale, complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Leadership:
- Lead and execute the business development strategy specifically for IT services and consulting within the BFSI sector, targeting new business opportunities and nurturing long-term relationships with key clients.
- Leverage a strong network and industry expertise to identify, qualify, and close high-value opportunities in IT consulting, systems integration, and managed services.
- Develop sales strategies, working with senior leadership, to align with broader company goals, ensuring growth in the IT consulting and services space.
- Oversee and manage the sales cycle, including lead generation, proposal development, and closing deals for IT services/consulting projects.
Senior Account Management:
- Take ownership of strategic, high-value client accounts, delivering exceptional service and fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
- Engage with senior executives and decision-makers to ensure that client needs are met and that opportunities for upselling and cross-selling IT services are fully capitalized.
- Lead the execution of business reviews, presentations, and workshops to highlight the value proposition of the company’s IT services and consulting solutions.
Operations & Project Management:
- Collaborate closely with the internal operations and project management teams to ensure smooth delivery of IT services and consulting projects.
- Maintain oversight of project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational goals.
- Manage the operational processes involved in delivering IT consulting services, ensuring resource allocation, project risk management, and operational efficiencies.
Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence:
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the company’s presence in the BFSI IT services and consulting market, leveraging insights into industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
- Analyze competitor activity, market opportunities, and client feedback to drive continuous service improvement and adjust business development strategies as needed.
- Stay ahead of market trends in IT services and consulting, advising clients on how to leverage emerging technologies to improve business outcomes.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the business development, account management, and operations teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and high performance.
- Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture that focuses on achieving targets and delivering client satisfaction in the IT consulting space.
- Share industry best practices and lead knowledge-sharing initiatives across teams.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in IT services and consulting sales, with a proven track record of selling IT solutions and services within the BFSI sector.
- Deep expertise in IT consulting, including areas such as cloud computing, enterprise systems integration, managed IT services, and digital transformation
- Extensive experience in Managing SOW & T&M based projects creation and management, with the ability to navigate complex contracts and project scopes.
- Strong understanding of the BFSI market and the unique IT challenges faced by financial institutions, insurers, and other key players in the industry.
Skills:
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with C-suite executives and senior leaders.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, able to guide cross-functional teams toward successful project delivery.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale IT projects, ensure timely execution, and meet client expectations.
- Advanced proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience working with global or multinational BFSI clients in the IT consulting space.
- Certifications in relevant IT fields (Cloud certifications, Cybersecurity, etc.) would be a plus.
- Fluency in additional languages would be advantageous in Singapore's diverse market.
