As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions. Your focus will be on automation, scalability, and supporting the developer community. This position combines technical proficiency with leadership and collaboration to optimise software performance and streamline operations.
Your responsibilities:
Salary range for this position is from 50,500 to 93,500 EUR per year depending on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. This role is also eligible to receive discretionary annual bonus that align with individual and company performance.

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions. Your focus will be on automation, scalability, and supporting the developer community. This position combines technical proficiency with leadership and collaboration to optimise software performance and streamline operations.
Your responsibilities:
- Architect, implement, and automate infrastructure deployment using ARM/Bicep templates, Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash or other relevant tools and scripting languages.
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless software delivery.
- Ensure infrastructure as code (IaC) principles are followed for consistent and repeatable deployments.
- Monitor and maintain Azure/Cloud resources, including virtual machines, databases, storage, and networking components.
- Implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Experience of working with Agile delivery principles and use of tools such as Jira.
- Automate routine tasks (e.g., environment setup, database migrations, scaling) to enhance developer productivity.
- Document and promote reusable templates, scripts, and configurations for efficient infrastructure management.
- Implement robust security controls, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security measures.
- Act as mentor for the Engineering function, providing guidance on Azure/cloud and DevOps best practices.
- Experience of Architecting, implementing, and automating infrastructure on Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform.
- Experience with infrastructure scripting solutions such as PowerShell, Python and Terraform.
- Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins. We use GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Linux and Windows systems, Docker, virtual environments.
- You’ll have used a range of services available in Azure, and integrated this in an enterprise environment, including services such as Azure B2C and FunctionApps. Building serverless digital products.
- Strong leadership experience and proven ability to manage both in house and 3rd Party technical engineering teams.
- Identifying opportunities and taking action to build strategic relationships between one's areas, teams, departments, units to help achieve business goals.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical & technical knowledge.
