Senior Java Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to support the growth of an existing platform for a US-based B2B company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring framework.
  • Design and optimize RESTful APIs to support scalable, secure, and efficient systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver technical solutions.
  • Utilize AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, SNS, SQS) to deploy and manage cloud-based applications.
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability through testing and monitoring.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and code reviews to ensure high-quality delivery.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and related Spring frameworks.
  • Proficiency in AWS services (mandatory!) and cloud computing concepts.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM tools (e.g., Hibernate).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ukrainian language Advanced or higher.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with non-relational databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB).
  • Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus).
