Job Description

Oracle Real-Time Health System is focused on delivering solutions that allow our clients to have real time situational awareness of their hospitals. The products facilitate the admission and movement of patients throughout their stay in the hospital, ensure appropriate staffing levels for the facility to care for the patient population. For the leadership of the hospital, Oracle provides real-time operational surveillance products that give leadership a bird’s eye view of where their facility may not be performing up to standards. These products leverage a combination of real-time data display as well as predictive capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years total combined completed higher education and related work experience, including:
    • System administration and/or system engineering work experience in Linux operating systems
    • Java software development
    • PHP
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineer or related field
  • Experience in networking
  • Hands on experience with source code management tools – git or similar

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cloud platforms – including AWS and OCI
  • Infrastructure automation through Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Packer or similar
  • Experience in developing scripts to automate software deployments and installations
  • Experience with Container admin and development utilizing Docker, vsphere or similar
  • Familiarity with CI/CD – Jenkins or similar
  • Familiarity with Database technologies – mySQL, PostgreSQL or similar
  • Familiarity with OS Security
  • Familiarity with Agile process and/or Jira
  • Familiarity with monitoring platforms like Zabbix or New Relic
  • Familiarity with a log aggregation and analysis platform like Splunk or similar


Expectations:

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Must be open to On-call for minor and/or urgent escalations
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, you will be critical to the successful implementation of Cerner Edge solutions inside CareAware environments.

This associate will analyze, design, code, review, debug, test new software. You will create technical designs for medium-scope projects within the team, provide high-level architecture guidance, and develop specifications to resolve software problems. You will consult with stakeholders on current functionality and the complexity of adding features and estimate effort for current and future projects. In addition, you will debug issues that span multiple modules, propose process improvements, and share knowledge within your team. You will be working on modern platform utilizing leading edge technologies and frameworks that will challenge and build your skills as an engineer.
