Software Engineer / Developer (C++ Computer Vision) Carcavelos nr. Lisbon to €40,000

Are you a C++ Software Engineer with an experience in Computer Vision and Image Processing?

You could be joining a scientific software company and working on "Tech for Good" software that enables research scientists to record and analyse their findings in the field; an example of a current project is the effect of wind farms on migrating birds and other wildlife. The multi-threaded platform manages large volumes of data and is highly complex.

As a C++ Software Engineer you'll be collaboratively problem solving and partnering with scientists and biologists within an R&D environment to develop core C++ backend components that interact with the hardware as well as researching new product lines and evaluating new technologies that could be introduced to the stack.

Initially you'll take ownership of a project to integrate Computer Vision to enable better species identification and to help prevent birds from flying into wind farms via automatic detection and shut down mechanisms.

Location:

You'll join colleagues in the Carcavelos (near Lisbon) office four days a week with flexibility to work from home one day a week.

About you:

• You have C++ development experience including multi-threading
• You have experience of developing Image Processing / Computer Vision solutions with focus in stereo imaging and video tracking and OpenCV
• You have experience within an R&D software development environment
• You're degree educated in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering or similar
• You have fluent English language skills
