Global Head of Data and Analytics – Manufacturing
Location: Netherlands, remote
About Us: A leading global manufacturing company, headquartered in the USA. Renowned for our commitment to quality and innovation, we are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our team as the Global Head of Data and Analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and execute a global data and analytics strategy aligned with the manufacturing and FMCG industry requirements.
- Lead and inspire a global team to implement cutting-edge data solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth.
- Azure Cloud and Databricks Expertise:
- Harness expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services to design, implement, and manage scalable and secure data solutions tailored for manufacturing and FMCG operations.
- Oversee the integration and optimization of Databricks for advanced analytics, predictive modelling, and real-time data processing.
- Operational Excellence:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven insights that optimize manufacturing processes, supply chain, and distribution networks.
- Drive initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce time-to-market, and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Data Governance and Compliance:
- Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address data privacy and protection requirements in both the USA and Europe.
- Collaboration with C-suite in Europe:
- Partner with C-suite executives in Europe to align data and analytics initiatives with regional business objectives.
- Provide regular updates and insights to the European leadership team, fostering a cohesive global approach to data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record (10+ years) in a senior leadership role in data and analytics within the manufacturing or FMCG sector.
- Strong expertise in implementing data solutions on Microsoft Azure cloud and utilizing Databricks for analytics.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and FMCG industry trends.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading global, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Team information:
- Managing team of approx. 32-35 FTE + external contractors
- Multi-disciplinary team of data eng, analysts, architects & scientists
