Job Description:
The Project Manager Fleet Interventions is responsible for the end-to-end execution of the scope of work for a vessel intervention period (maintenance, repair, mobilisation, conversion, installation of mission equipment, ..) and redelivery. This role ensures that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to stringent quality and safety standards, while also obtaining high vessel performance and reliability post-redelivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Preparation:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare technical specifications and work scopes for ship repairs.
Project Execution:
- Oversee the execution of ship repair projects at various shipyard locations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Manage project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure work is being carried out according to plan.
Communication and Reporting:
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status.
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management.
- Address any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management or ship repair project management.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to various shipyard locations as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent).
- Experience in the maritime or offshore industry.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in ship repair.
