Simulation Development is responsible for propelling, defining, and ensuring that both short and long-term targets are met for HOW we simulate physical phenomena across our wind turbine platforms and modules. The department is also responsible for the overall simulation strategy and thereby HOW our simulation tools - both proprietary, bespoke, and commercial - are working together.

Responsibilities

• Software Development
  
  

You are to develop solutions that contains cloud, on-premiseon-premises and offline capabilities including interfacing to hardware components. Furthermore, it is not a standalone system and therefore requires integrations to existing tools and possibly new tools. The development efforts are therefore development of new software, but also integration with existing and new tools. You will also utilize DevOps principles to achieve a satisfactory software development lifecycle

• Understand Needs and Streamline
  
  

You care to understand the needs of the stakeholders, as you are directly involved in software development projects to streamline the testing process to improve the overall performance. The equipment and stakeholders of the testing process are diverse, and they should be met with respect for this diversity

You work in a creative environment and you have the courage to leave behind the usual approaches. You follow the evolution of new software technologies and is not afraid to propose them in the design of IT solutions

• Team Oriented
  
  

You work in a team that takes end-to-end responsibility for the solutions that the team develops. This requires you to be team-oriented and engage in fulfilling such a responsibility.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software or Information Technology or a similar Engineering degree
  
  

Competencies

• Quick-wittedness and capability to familiarize with complex issues
• Well-developed communication and teamwork skills and integrative personality when dealing with different disciplines and cultures
• Outstanding personal initiative, sense of responsibility, and perseverance
• Experience/Interest in the implementation of IT projects encompassing features such as IoT, interfacing to PLC controllers, graphical user interface and cloud communication
• Familiarity with database schema design and interaction
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming and Functional programming
• Knowledge of programming languages/markup language/configuration languages such as C#, Python, Java, Kotlin, KQL/SQL/NoSQL, Typescript, Javascript, markdown, html, markdown, JSON and yaml
• Familiarity of platforms such as Azure and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Git and tTools for Git such as Azure Devops
• Familiarity of Continuous Integration, Delivery and Deployment
• Experience/Interest in Agile Software Development
• Fluent in English (Writing and oral)
