Lead FrontEnd Engineer for AS24

Our customer is the European online car market with over 30 million monthly users, with a market presence in 18 countries. As a Lead Front End Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of online car markets and enhancing the user experience for millions of car buyers and sellers.

Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in transforming our existing Laravel-based website into a cutting-edge Next.js platform, enhancing performance, scalability, accessibility, and overall user experience.
  • Lead by example by proposing innovative solutions, actively participating in team discussions, contributing to decision-making, and driving impactful initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with a dynamic team of Senior Engineers, a Product Manager, and an Engineering Manager to deliver exceptional results.
  • Lead team of 5-10 Engineers.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with React and Next.js (a strong must).
  • Solid foundation in web technologies, including expert-level HTML and CSS skills.
  • A strong accessibility mindset (nice to have).
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Tailwind CSS for creating modern and responsive designs.
  • Experience with AWS and Laravel or other templating engines (nice to have).
  • Basic knowledge of backend development is a plus (nice to have).
  • Mastery of browser developer tools—debugging and testing are second nature to you.
  • Upper-intermediate English proficiency, enabling seamless communication in a global team.
  • Headbands-on experience managing teams of 5-10 engineers.
  • Previous experience as a Lead Engineers on the project;
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Strong self-management skills, a proactive attitude, and a results-driven mindset focused on delivering outcomes efficiently.
