DWDM Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Deployment & Configuration:

• Deploy and integrate 1830 PSS series optical equipment and SDH/DWDM networks.
• Optimize OADM configurations and optical amplification for network performance.

Customer Support:

• Troubleshoot fiber impairments (dispersion, loss) and modulation issues (OOK, PSK).
• Resolve network outages and ensure SLA compliance.

Network Design:

• Design resilient OTN/DWDM networks using O-SNCP/E-SNCP protection schemes.
• Implement GMPLS-based restoration for high-availability networks.

Required Skills

• Bachelors in electrical/computer engineering or computer science.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with OTN, DWDM, and SDH technologies.
• Expertise in:
• Fiber optic signal impairments and mitigation strategies.
• GMPLS restoration and 1+1 protection schemes.
• WSNOC/OMS platform management.
• Proficiency in Layer 2 protocols (VLAN, MPLS).

Preferred Skills

• Certifications: Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Juniper JNCIP, or Nokia NRS II.
• Experience with SMS/Encryption configurations.
• Knowledge of automation tools (Python, Ansible) for network optimization.
