Job Description:

UI/UX Designer

As a User Experience (UX) Designer at Toppan Merrill, you will drive the user experience across a defined area of the product roadmap. You'll collaborate closely with Sr. UX Designers in driving the user experience across defined product areas and participate in product discovery. You will assist in communicating the product vision to various stakeholders, building consensus among teams and key stakeholders. Candidates with a background in designing complex SaaS solutions following established usability standards will be prioritized.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the big picture to define the creative strategy of a product.
  • Ensure intuitive user experiences across a defined product area, driving innovation and delighting customers.
  • Closely collaborate with product managers, engineers, data analysts, and sales teams to deliver easy-to-use products that address customers' needs.
  • Ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas.
  • Facilitate the product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for digital products.
  • Provide wireframes and prototypes to communicate user flows to stakeholders and incorporate their feedback before building a product.
  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions consistent with the design system.
  • Assist in making strategic decisions on design and user-experience decisions related to core functions and features, as well as new ones.
  • Adopt a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
  • Ensure success metrics are defined and revisited after deployment to iterate on delivered solutions.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience designing consumer-focused web and mobile products
  • Exceptional communicator with experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong fundamentals in UI/UX best practices and strategy
  • Creative intuition and a clean visual design sense
  • Proficiency with UI/UX tools (Figma, FigJam, Miro, Adobe XD, Sketch, etc.)
  • Portfolio of past work
