Java Developer - top global hedge fund

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Java Developer to join a high-performing global hedge fund. This role focuses on enhancing order management capabilities and optimizing inventory management efficiencies within a global trading environment. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to improve trading infrastructure and contribute to the ongoing evolution of execution services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with technology teams, Execution Services, and Equity Finance teams to enhance execution capabilities for Portfolio Managers.
• Understand business requirements and market constraints across various developed and emerging markets.
• Design and develop order management functionalities, including routing, slicing, marking, and netting across multiple trading channels.
• Drive continuous improvements in order management systems, particularly in inventory management.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to drive innovation.

Preferred Technical Skills:

• Strong server-side Java development experience, including Spring Boot.
• Focus on test-driven development (TDD/XP-based development) for robust, high-quality code.
• Experience with proprietary Java frameworks and design patterns for low/no GC, messaging, and multi-threading.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices and testing automation.
