Job Location: Oman

Job Role

We are looking for an experienced Finacle Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end implementation of the Finacle banking solution. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent project management skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of core banking operations. The Project Manager will ensure that the Finacle solution is successfully implemented across the organization, within budget, on time, and according to business requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution:

  • Lead and manage the implementation of Finacle solutions, ensuring the project aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and key milestones for the Finacle implementation.
  • Monitor and control project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of project tasks and deliverables, ensuring timely completion.

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting

  • Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors during the implementation process.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the project meets business requirements and expectations by engaging with relevant stakeholders to gather feedback and align objectives.

Resource & Budget Management

  • Collaborate with the finance and HR teams to allocate resources, ensuring the project is adequately staffed.
  • Track and manage the project budget, ensuring that costs remain within the approved limits.
  • Allocate tasks and ensure resource optimization throughout the implementation phases.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Proactively identify project risks and potential issues, proposing solutions or mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Develop and execute risk management plans, ensuring any deviations from the plan are addressed promptly.
  • Resolve project-related conflicts and challenges between internal teams or external vendors.

Implementation & Integration Oversight

  • Oversee the configuration, customization, and integration of the Finacle system with existing infrastructure and third-party systems.
  • Coordinate data migration, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Ensure the implementation follows the defined system architecture and complies with all regulatory standards.
  • Ensure a smooth go-live process, with appropriate post-implementation support and troubleshooting.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including business analysts, technical experts, and consultants.
  • Foster collaboration and teamwork between internal teams and external stakeholders to meet project goals.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project teams to review progress, assess risks, and resolve issues.

Change Management & Training

  • Collaborate with the change management team to ensure smooth adoption of the Finacle system by end-users.
  • Ensure the preparation of training materials and facilitate training sessions to educate users about the new system.
  • Provide post-implementation support to resolve user queries and ensure the system is fully operational.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 7 years of experience in managing Finacle or other core banking system implementations.
  • Strong understanding of banking processes and operations, especially core banking, digital banking, and customer experience.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale software implementations, particularly with Finacle or similar banking systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams and work with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and practices.
  • PMP or other Project Management certification is highly desirable.

Desired Skills

  • In-depth understanding of the Finacle suite (Core Banking, Digital Banking, Payments, etc.).
  • Experience with software development life cycles, system integrations, and database management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the banking industry.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience in managing data migration and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).
