Junior Java Software Engineer

IF YOU ARE

• Experienced in backend development, with a strong focus on Java with at least 1 year of commercial experience
• Skilled in Java 21 and Spring Boot
• Aware of AWS services and best practices for cloud-based applications
• A practitioner of JUnit5 writing and maintaining unit and integration tests
• Capable of maintaining daily communication with English-speaking colleagues
• Familiar with security and code quality tools, such as Checkmarx and SonarQube (would be a plus)
• Strong with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions (as an advantage)
• Skilled in Terraform scripts for infrastructure management (is not a must)
• Well-versed in API design and optimization for large data handling (as a perk)

• Tackle challenging projects for the largest UK retailer, leveraging your expertise
• Develop, and maintain backend services using Java 21 and Spring Boot
• Integrate with AWS services to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure for the application
• Design APIs to efficiently handle large data sets and enable seamless frontend integration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers, data engineers, and product managers, to translate business requirements into technical solutions
