Purpose Of The Job

Our client is an American leader in life sciences, diagnostics, and applied chemical markets. The company provides laboratories worldwide with instruments, services, consumables, applications, and expertise, enabling customers to gain valuable insights. As part of its ongoing innovation efforts, the client aims to develop a robust web-based application for processing and visualizing Mass Spectrometry data within a BioPharma QA/QC GMP-regulated environment. This project includes refactoring legacy business logic, creating a modern, user-friendly web interface, and implementing a server-only mode for specific use cases.

Responsibilities

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and functionality.

Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases based on project specifications.

Execute manual testing to ensure the quality, usability, and reliability of the application across different functionalities.

Identify, log, and track defects in the bug-tracking system, ensuring proper resolution and regression testing.

Validate the application’s compliance with GMP-regulated environment requirements.

Perform functional, regression, system, and integration testing.

Ensure thorough testing of legacy business logic and newly developed features.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment with project goals.

Provide regular test status reports and participate in QA progress meetings.

Education, Skills And Experience

MUST HAVE:

Requirements

5+ years of experience in software testing, including manual testing of web-based applications.

Strong experience in writing and executing test plans, test cases, and defect reporting.

Solid understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and best practices.

Experience testing applications in GMP-regulated environments or similar compliance-driven industries (lifescience preferred).

Familiarity with tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar test and bug-tracking tools.

Understanding of web technologies and backend systems, with the ability to validate business logic.

Knowledge of .NET-based applications and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular) is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to quality assurance.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
