The occupant of this position will be part of the Software Development Group in the Development & System Transition (D&ST) directorate. We deliver modern software solutions to the Queensland Police Service (QPS), State Emergency Service (SES), and Marine Rescue Queensland (MRQ). This position reports to the Manager of Software Development.

Your Key Accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Contribute to all stages of the software development process including designing, coding, reviewing, testing, correcting and documenting complex system components from supplied specifications using agreed standards and tools to achieve a wellengineered result.
- Assist with defining the technical criteria for product / component selection and contribute to decisions about tools, methods and approaches.
- Provide advice on business system solutions, products and services to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and participate in self-development opportunities in the field application and web service development.
- Work collaboratively to deliver timely client focused support of applications in a 24/7 operational environment.
Role Requirements
- A tertiary level qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent is highly desirable.
Demonstrated use and skill with the following technologies:
- Microsoft.NET Framework/Core (C#)
- Java
- Microsoft Design Patterns (MVC, MVVM, Razor)
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2022
- Azure DevOps, TeamCity, DevOps
- Testing Frameworks (MSTest, NUnit, Gherkin, SpecFlow)
- Entity Framework / Dapper / SQL
- Microsoft Web Services technologies
Other Desirable Experiences
- Knowledge of developing within a Secure Software Development Lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience in Cross Functional Agile teams
- Knowledge of Java development technologies
- Knowledge of Microsoft Web Platform
