Engineering Manager, Journeys Team

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Journeys team within our Rider Experience group in Tallinn or Berlin. In this role, you will drive the development of innovative mobility solutions that enhance user engagement and redefine travel experiences for millions of riders worldwide.

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of highly skilled software engineers, working closely with Product, Analytics, and Operations teams to deliver impactful features and seamless experiences for Bolt users.

About The Role

As an Engineering Manager for the Journeys team, you will lead a team of software engineers to develop innovative mobility solutions, enhancing user engagement and travel experiences. Collaborating with Product, Analytics, and Operations, you’ll deliver seamless and impactful features for Bolt riders worldwide.

Your daily adventures will include:

• Leading and mentoring a cross-functional team of backend and frontend engineers in the Journeys team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
• Driving the development of new mobility product features to enhance travel experiences and user engagement.
• Ensuring technical excellence, maintaining high standards for quality, performance, and reliability in engineering projects.
• Collaborating closely with Product, Analytics, and Operations to define priorities, plan roadmaps, and deliver impactful solutions.
• Managing team growth and performance, including hiring, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback.
• Optimizing and improving existing systems and services, identifying opportunities for enhancements and scalability.
  
  
  

About you:

• You have proven experience in team and stakeholder management within a tech environment.
• You make data-driven decisions, using metrics to guide team priorities and product improvements.
• You have mobile development experience, preferably in a customer-facing B2C company.
• You have a solid background in software development, understanding both backend and frontend technologies.
• You can motivate, inspire, and attract top talent while fostering a high-performing engineering culture.
• You lead initiatives end-to-end, driving execution even through the toughest challenges.
