Job Description
We are looking for a SW developer to develop our cloud-based edge solution. The cloud-based edge solution is built on modern technologies like Linux, Kubernetes, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery, Container based SaaS platform, etc. Your work will focus on developing Wi-Fi core edge, Wi-Fi access points and their interaction.
The Digital Automation organization as a part of Nokia Enterprise Campus Edge unit creates cutting-edge solutions for plug & play private industrial wireless, emerging cellular networks and add-on applications for private enterprises and the public sector. In daily life we strive to utilize evolving software technology stacks to improve our development practices.

We are looking for a SW developer to develop our cloud-based edge solution. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
As a part of the team, you will be responsible for:
- SW design, development, integration and testing of the cloud native product
- Support test design and validate software and hardware components of the cloud edge
- Contribute to SW and related testing documentation
- Proactive interaction with colleagues
You have:
- M.Sc. degree (or soon to graduate with M.Sc.) in telecommunications, information technology, computer science or in a related discipline
- Mastering SW development tools such as Git, Gitlab, debuggers, editors, etc.
- Advanced Linux operating skills using command-line utilities and tools, shell scripting, etc.
- Previous practical SW development skills, ideally with Go(lang) language, but Python or similar experience is also a good starting point
- Knowledge of SW development lifecycle: design, implementation, integration, testing, troubleshooting
- Good English skills in speaking, reading, and writing
- Previous experience of modern environments and tools such as Kubernetes, Docker and its orchestration, CI/CD pipeline, Jenkins, etc.
- Knowledge of micro service development and implementation technologies such as REST, JSON/XML, HTTP/HTTPS/gRPC/TLS 1.3 etc.
- Knowledge of wireless communication systems based on 802.11 / Wi-Fi technology
- Hands-on Linux networking skills inc. TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, etc.
- Ability to adapt to and work in international teams
- Proactiveness with a hands-on get-it-done attitude
