We are looking for a Business Analyst to analyse business domains and optimise performance through technology solutions. The role involves close collaboration with stakeholders, business process analysis, and ensuring alignment between business needs and IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Elicit, document, prioritise, analyse, and validate business needs and solution requirements
Prepare and maintain software requirement specifications
Organise and facilitate workshops (on-site or online)
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses
Collaborate with system analysts, solution architects, developers, testers, and technical writers
Produce and maintain business analysis outputs (e.g. use cases, requirements, mock-ups, user stories, data models)
Verify and validate requirements, ensuring traceability
Create and maintain models in Sparx Enterprise Architect
Write user and system documentation
Prepare and conduct user training
Support testing teams in drafting and reviewing test plans and test cases
Assist business users in managing applications based on best practices in information architecture
Support the project manager and, when necessary, take on project management responsibilities

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as a Business Analyst for IT solutions
Strong knowledge of Unified Modelling Language (UML) and business analysis techniques

Additional Skills (Advantageous):

Understanding of IT trends and emerging technologies
Experience with Agile/DevOps practices
Strong analytical skills for business analysis (e.g. summarising complex information, problem-solving)
Excellent communication skills (e.g. active listening, presentation skills, stakeholder engagement)
Knowledge of Business Analysis best practices (e.g. BABOK)
Understanding of GDPR compliance
Experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect and BPMN/ArchiMate
Familiarity with work item management tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, TFS, Jira)
Experience in project management

Education & Professional Experience:

University degree (minimum 4 years of experience in IT) OR non-university degree (minimum 7 years of experience in IT)
At least 3 years of business analysis experience

Certifications (Mandatory):

At least one of the following certifications:

CBAP (Certified Business Analyst Professional) or equivalent
IIBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA)
IIBA Certification in Business Data Analytics (CBDA)
IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE)
PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PBA)
Certificate in Business Analysis Practice (BCS - The Chartered Institute for IT)
Master's in Business Analysis (from an accredited EU university, covering key business analysis topics)
