About this opportunity:

We are currently looking for a skilled, self-motivated Network Engineer to work with our ICT environments used for test of our 5G Core portfolio. These test environments consist of multiple proprietary and third-party products or network elements which combine to work as a functioning and stable environment. They exist in both integrated versions with dedicated hardware as virtualized versions that run on diverse hypervisors such as OpenStack, VMWare, as well as Cloud Native platforms using Kubernetes. These environments are used by our test teams to verify and validate network functions during development or integration activities. Together with the team, you will be responsible for analysis and implementation of customer requirements, building as well as changing product/system/network configurations and using system monitoring/troubleshooting tools to give best-in-class support to our stakeholders.

What you will do:

  • Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling.
  • Integrate, configure, and maintain network elements and tools into test channels.
  • Maintain a stable environment and strive to optimize the network elements and solutions.
  • Perform troubleshooting and support.
  • Respond to technical support queries and provide solutions to stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation.

The skills you bring:

  • Configuration of switches and routers (preferably Lantronix Juniper).
  • Troubleshooting at various network layers from the OS and router level.
  • Ability to work independently and learn based on encountered problems, decision-making skills.
  • Ability to create and use documentation in English.
  • Co-creating technical solution documents (TSD) for network configuration in a client environment (Datacenter).
  • English language proficiency enough for working in an international team.
  • Willing to learn.

Nice to have:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • General knowledge of automation systems like Puppet/Ansible and Jenkins
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of concept NFV
  • CCNA certification
  • Experience in Agile methodologies.
