Description

We are seeking a dedicated full-stack developer who thrives on building meaningful technology that solves real-world problems. You will be tasked with taking website template files from a designer and creating fully functional websites from them, including developing all necessary functionalities. Responsibilities include ensuring all relevant website functionality works as expected and that the website displays well on a range of screen resolutions, from mobile to desktop.

As a full-stack developer, you will work as part of a team implementing new features, as well as making modifications and fixing bugs in existing code. Your duties will include designing and developing layouts, writing code to power the underlying functionality of the website, and developing tests for the code you write.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust backend components using Node.js and Express.js.
  • Develop user-centric features using Next.js/React.js, ensuring engaging and responsive UI.
  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes into interactive applications.
  • Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and security.
  • Identify and resolve bugs, bottlenecks, and other technical issues.
  • Create, design, and implement layouts for new and existing web pages.
  • Create and maintain database designs for data storage and processing.
  • Integrate external software libraries and APIs into existing projects
  • Continuously explore new technologies to enhance development efficiency and product quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience.
  • 4+ years of software development experience.
  • Proven expertise in MERN stack development.
  • Strong grasp of Next,js/React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.
  • Experience with common web development tools and services, such as version control software (e.g. Git), package managers, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working with developing and maintaining a robust API.
  • Experience writing high performing code with focus on scaling systems to support hundreds of thousands of users.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with common programming design patterns and best practices
