A leading local council in the Sydney metro area is seeking a Project Coordinator/BA to join their Corporate Planning and Performance Unit, which is part of the Customer and Corporate Directorate. This council is dedicated to delivering high-quality services and continuously improving performance through strategic planning and data-driven decision-making.
Your New Role
As the Project Coordinator, you will provide administrative and operational support, including reviewing and designing plans and reports, as well as maintaining online systems and processes that support the delivery of the Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) Framework, business planning, and performance reporting.
Role and Purpose:
- Provide a high level of performance planning and reporting, including excellent analytical skills, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to identify and implement efficient practices.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and review of the council’s Integrated Planning Framework and Corporate Planning & Reporting functions.
- Assist in the development of the council’s business planning process.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Corporate Planning & Reporting function.
- Prepare periodic reports and reviews of performance against the council’s Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program, and Operational Plan, as required by legislation.
- Prepare regular progress reports, statistics, graphs, and analysis against the Delivery Program, Operational Plan, and corporate scorecard.
- Participate in relevant corporate planning professional networks, special interest groups, and industry associations.
- Undertake research and provide advice and information on better practices.
- Provide high-level administrative support to the team in undertaking functions within the department.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- BA or Project Coordination experience is essential
- Demonstrated ability to prepare reports and complex documents for a range of audiences.
- Strong interpersonal, communication (including written and oral), and superior negotiation skills.
- Highly developed administrative skills and the ability to interpret performance data, prepare reports, and complex documents for a range of audiences.
- Sound working knowledge of computer software applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work as part of a team, set priorities, and organise your own work to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Demonstrated process improvement skills, including recognised accuracy, attention to detail, and methodical checking.
- Ability to maintain a high standard of quality customer service and provide accurate information promptly and courteously.
