Senior PHP/Laravel Developer

To support one of our clients, a leading European institution responsible for shaping global diplomatic strategies, Leonardo Belgium is seeking a talented Senior PHP/Laravel Developer to join our team in delivering essential services under a new framework contract. This opportunity is designed for professionals who are eager to contribute to impactful projects that support international collaboration and enhance European digital solutions.

Job Specifications

• Hybrid setting, on site and nearby (Brussels)
• Type of contract: Freelance preferred
• CV format: Europass
• Starting date : ASAP
• Eligibly to undergo a Personal Security Clearance (PSC) required

We are looking for a Senior PHP/Laravel Developer who will be able to :

• Develop, maintain, and integrate software applications and components using PHP and the Laravel framework
• Build reusable PHP/Laravel code for future use
• Implement security and data protection measures
• Participate in the design and creation of scalable PHP/Laravel software
• Maintain code integrity and organization
• Write clean, functional front-end code
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and improve code and processes
• Produce technical documentation
• Test and fix bugs and coding issues
• Integrate systems and assist with deployment and configuration

Experience - Requirements

• Solid experience in a development environment

Soft skills

• Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment

Hard skills

• PHP: Proficiency in PHP, with specific experience in Laravel
• JavaScript​: Understanding of JavaScript for front-end interaction
• DB Management: Familiarity with MySQL or other relational database
• HTML/CSS:Understanding of front-end technologies for integration with back-end system

Tools and methodologies

• IDEs: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, JetBrains PhpStorm, Microsoft Visual Studio Code
• Project Management: Confluence JIRA, ServiceNow
• Methodologies: PM² and PM² Agile, Kanban, Scrum
