User Experience Expert (UI/UX)

To support one of our clients, a leading European institution responsible for shaping global diplomatic strategies, Leonardo Belgium is seeking a talented User Experience Expert (UX/UI) to deliver essential services under a new framework contract. This opportunity is designed for professionals who are eager to contribute to impactful projects that support international collaboration and enhance European digital solutions.

• Type of contract: Freelance preferred

• Eligibly to undergo a Personal Security Clearance (PSC) required

We are looking for a User Experience Expert (UX/UI) who will be responsible for :

• Providing UX consultancy throughout the digital solution design process
• Creating visual prototypes, wireframes, and mockups for intuitive user interfaces
• Designing graphical elements, including illustrations and data visualizations
• Analyzing and implementing user interface requirements and usability standards
• Evaluating user interfaces and developing navigation mapping designs
• Applying standards and maintaining User Interface Standards
• Developing responsive front-end solutions using HTML, CSS, and best coding practices
• Integrating designs with databases and server-side logic
• Documenting code for easy maintenance and optimizing applications for performance and scalabilit

Experience:

• Proven experience in a user experience (UX/UI) role

Soft Skills:

• Rapid self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of participating in multi-lingual meetings and facilitating discussions across diverse teams
• Strong teamwork abilities with a focus on collaboration in an agile environment

Hard skills:

• Visual design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Balsamiq, InVision, UxPin)
• Web technologies (HTML, CSS, jQuery) and UX design best practices
• User-centered design principles and usability testing methodologies
• Knowledge of responsive design, web ergonomics, and accessibility standards
• Cross-browser compatibility and security practices

Tools and methodologies used

• IDEs: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, JetBrains PhpStorm, Microsoft Visual Studio Code
• Project Management: Confluence JIRA, ServiceNow
• Methodologies: PM² and PM² Agile, Kanban, Scrum
