Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Location: Berlin (Remote: 90%)

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and help shape the architecture of modern web applications in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, set up, and configure logging and monitoring infrastructures.
• Define SLOs based on customer SLAs and calculate error tolerances (error budgets).
• Collaborate with software and DevOps engineers to develop new designs and architectures.
• Standardize and automate build, test, and deployment processes with a strong focus on quality and data protection.
• Set up and maintain continuous integration environments.
• Administer and synchronize container registries.
• Set up and manage virtual network infrastructures.
• Introduce and enhance SRE practices.
• Analyze and resolve system malfunctions through research and careful error documentation.

Your Profile:

• Degree in Information Technology, Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, MS Azure) and distributed network infrastructures.
• Proficient in monitoring, debugging, and performance measurement tools.
• Experience with containers and orchestration.
• Strong skills in scripting and dynamic programming languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby, Go).
• Proficient in distributed versioning systems (e.g., Git, Hg).
• Familiarity with SRE methods and culture.
• Systematic, goal-oriented, and independent working style.
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and social competence.
• Willingness to participate in on-call duties and shifts.
