What You Will Do

You will become part of the Core Platform department. This department is responsible for core IT systems within CM.com. We enable other teams to deliver business value to our customers. You will work in our Breda office with a team of experienced and passionate IT professionals who share your vision and enthusiasm. You will report to the IT Manager (Michael Jepson) and work closely with the Platform as a Service team and other DevOps Engineers and System Administrators. You will also communicate with other stakeholders across the company.

We have recently completed the design and construction of our Global Private Cloud, a vital infrastructure that supports numerous CM.com internal development teams and facilitates the delivery of our services worldwide. Our next step is to streamline its maintenance and enhance our deployment processes through automation.

Currently, we offer a container platform as a service (Kubernetes), and we plan to expand our offerings to include additional services such as databases and message queues. These services will be provided as comprehensive packages, complete with monitoring, backups, and all necessary functional requirements

Additionally, You Ideally Have

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related
• Strong interest in IT Infrastructure
• Experience with VMware, Terraform and Ansible
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and have programming skills
• Basic understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS and VPN
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a nice to have
• A proactive attitude and a can-do mentality!
