We are looking for a " Software Test Engineer" for our customer who has established itself as a major player in “Automotive”.

Role Description

• Software testing and quality assurance activities, including automation and manual development/execution of tests
• Plan, develop and execute test coverage for our in-house developed software products including test case/script development
• Closely work and coordinate with key business users, business analysts and developers to analyze/identify testing requirements to derive test cases
• Help building a test-driven engineering culture that drives improvements in quality
• Identify & advocate software QA testing standards & processes
• Co-coordinate test environments and actively support creation/maintenance of test data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of education.
• Fluent in English at a negotiation level (both spoken and written); intermediate proficiency in German.
• Excellent knowledge of black/whitebox testing
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience with JIRA, Xray and test automation tools such as Selenium, Gherkin, Cucumber, Specflow, etc. (setup, develop and execute)
• Working knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, Microsoft .NET framework, C#, Entity Framework, REST API, WCF Services, Javascript, Json, BitBucket, Jenkins would be an asset
• Knowledge of project management, software development lifecycle (SDLC) techniques and various industry standard development practices (waterfall, agile and DevOps)
• Experience in database testing, at least mid-level SQL knowledge
