About the Role

We are seeking a Frontend Developer (Mid-Level) to join our Forecasting Systems team. Based in Bergen, Norway, you will design and develop tools that help forecasters to analyze, interpret, and communicate weather insights effectively, ensuring optimal performance and usability for our global 24/7 forecasting operations.

Main Responsibilities

• Transform legacy interfaces into modern, scalable experiences
• Enhance our existing systems to support a modern data-driven pipeline
• Design and develop new functionality to enhance our internal forecasting tools to improve usability and decision-making for meteorologists.
• Create intuitive UI solutions that support real-time operations and complex weather analysis.
• Own the software specification, design, wireframing, development, and integration to make a real impact on our internal tools
• Work closely with cross-functional and international teams including data scientists, forecasters and backend developers to understand user needs.

Core Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in developing frontend web application and a passion for creating impactful solutions
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS and REST/JSON
• Track record on delivering solutions using Angular front-end framework
• Ability to integrate APIs into frontend applications
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git/GitHub
• Professional fluency in English (knowledge of Norwegian is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Experienced with frontend test frameworks (unit, integration and E2E)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub actions
• Any familiarity with backend C# or PHP is advantageous
