Senior Energy (Oil), Cargo Trading Operations Manager, Physical. Location; UAE – Dubai:

We are currently working on an exciting opportunity with a leading energy trading company, with offices in Dubai, who are looking to add a senior oil cargo/energy trading operator to their business to facilitate its growth & expansion. The main focus will be to manage and assist with the energy trading operations activities to ensure smooth operational efficiencies across the trading platforms.

Responsibilities

• Experience dealing with and exposure to one or more of the following products; crude oil, fuel, distillates; jet, gasoil, kero, gasoline, naphtha, light ends, LNG, LPG, Condensates, petrochemicals. (blending experience/operations will be a plus but not limited to)
• Co-ordinates all aspects of the post-deal trading activities to ensure contract execution runs smoothly
• Stay on top of commercial/market information to update the trading team as necessary
• Management of operational relationships with suppliers, receivers, ship owners, brokers, agents, terminal operators, customs and other service providers
• Coordinating logistics and documentary requirements with each counterparty
• Drafting and negotiation of Contracts; LC’s
• Reviewing spot deal recaps of traders before to finalizing deals in order to mitigate operational risks
• Vessel Operations (checking CPs, vetting vessels, voyage/discharge orders, stowage plans, LOIs, freight payments).
• Ensuring operational efficiencies, advising on possible risks, taking decisions in critical pressure situations, providing support.
• Cargo Operations (contractual nominations, documentary instructions, inspections, storage, etc)
• Financial security of the deals, reviewing LCs, Invoicing in line with payment terms and ensuring timely issuance and receipt.
• Demurrage mitigation/minimization of risks

Requirements

• Good commercial, operational and technical background, with excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Minimum 10+ years of working experience in trade operations across petroleum, petrochemical industries.
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality as dealing with sensitive company data.
• Sound experience in dealing with cargo documentations / operations
• Excellent negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills and proficient at working with individuals from diverse background
• Excellent organizational & teamwork skill and the ability to prioritize
• Outstanding attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Proficient at adapting quickly to changing situations
• Highly numerate, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long term sustainable relationships
• Willing to be based in Dubai, with flexible remote working opportunities from time to time.
