The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance windows, deploying code, and building environments as required by stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting application and environment-related issues. The System Analyst will work on multiple daily build releases for the testing team and may need to work extended hours to complete the build process or maintenance windows.
Responsibilities as a System Analyst:
- Plan, develop, evaluate, and implement strategies for infrastructure and software maintenance and deployment.
- Configure and prepare production release deployment, including rollback instructions.
- Automate deployments, scripts, and monitor non-production environments using custom scripts or available tools.
- Troubleshoot and debug service-related issues as needed.
- Collaborate with team members as required.
- Create change records in Service-Now for maintenance windows or application changes.
- Act as the primary contact for deployment-related inquiries and issues.
- Analyze and resolve deployment issues promptly.
- Develop deployment support documentation.
- Work with QA teams to deploy and troubleshoot software products.
- Participate and engage in project meetings.
This is a hybrid role where employees will alternate between remote and in-office work. Hybrid employees are expected to work in the office three set days per week (as determined by leadership), with a general expectation of spending at least 50% of their time in the office based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- 3+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IoC), Linux, and Kubernetes (K8s) administration in enterprise cloud environments, specifically live production environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and cloud networking.
- Regular participation in on-call rotations is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps/Deployment Engineer.
- 3+ years of experience with Jenkins, Ansible, GIT, or similar tools.
- 3+ years of experience in deployment and operations.
- 3+ years of experience with RedHat Linux, AIX, or Unix-based operating systems.
- 1–3 years of experience with Tomcat/tcServer.
- Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
- Experience with builds, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Basic scripting knowledge.
- Experience with Java, J2EE, Jasper, IBM MQ Broker, SOAP, REST, XML, and web services.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with operations, QA, and development teams.
- Strong ability and enthusiasm for quickly learning new technologies.
- Basic SQL skills to support applications.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Experience with ITIL frameworks, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
