Senior IT Security Analyst

• Melbourne based (Syd or Bris considered)
• Drive and own security within a leading mid-size enterprise
• Collaborate with CIO, work with leading tech, $145k - $170k

A great and unique opportunity to join a leading mid-size business as a Senior IT Security Analyst in Melbourne (Sydney or Brisbane considered). You will closely collaborate with the CIO and Head of Infrastructure and take ownership of the information security function.

This permanent full time role (hybrid work split) offers a broad focus across security domains, with a focus on leading compliance initiatives but also get involved with SIEM and vulnerability management. You will also collaborate with an external managed SOC.



About the role:

• Collaborate with the CIO, internal teams, and an external managed SOC to strengthen the organization's security posture.
• Lead and contribute to SIEM configuration, analysis, and incident response efforts.
• Drive the implementation of Essential 8 controls across the organization.
• Manage vulnerability assessments and oversee remediation efforts throughout the enterprise.
• Lead ISO 27001 certification activities and ensure ongoing compliance.

About you:

• A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in IT, with 3-4 years specializing in information security engineering and/or analysis.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, vulnerability management, and security operations.
• Deep understanding of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, Essential 8, and others.
• Strong IT foundation, preferably with experience in systems engineering (not essential).
• Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable in dynamic environments where you can make a significant impact.
