Job Description

We are seeking an experienced API Engineer to design, build, and optimize high-performance, low-latency data management systems.

  • Our platform processes high-volume traffic in real time, leveraging Go (Golang) and an in-memory database for ultra-fast data retrieval.
  • The API serves as a critical component of our infrastructure, supporting both batch and real-time data processing.
  • This role will play a key part in architecting scalable, distributed systems that handle millions of queries per second with sub-5ms latency on bare-metal infrastructure near client environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize APIs for high-performance, low-latency data management.
  • Architect and maintain real-time data systems capable of processing millions of queries per second globally.
  • Improve caching strategies and system scalability to enhance performance.
  • Work with Go (Golang) and in-memory databases to ensure fast data retrieval.
  • Deploy and manage distributed systems on bare-metal servers near client infrastructures.
  • Utilize cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) and Kubernetes to enhance system resilience and efficiency.
  • Lead the evolution of API architecture for both batch and real-time processing.
  • Collaborate in a remote-first, asynchronous work environment with a strong focus on clear communication.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in building high-performance, high-throughput, low-latency systems.
  • 2+ years in a leadership role, with at least 4+ years in technical leadership.

Skills

  • Go (Golang) and distributed systems development.
  • cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Kubernetes.
